I have a feeling you're right Bryan (I've never tried it - will do on
the next lab where I have MDSP peers).
I daresay it's similar to when you look at the RPs "sh ip pim rp
mapping" you get a ? next to the RP address. When you set an ip host
config for that IP on the router - it then resolves to the host entry
configured.
