VRF LITE

Hi All,

I was studying vrf-lite , Please HELP me with the understanding -

1) it says we can run ospf on PE side and any protocol on subinterface at CE
side.How so , what I know protocol has to be same both ends?

2) Also when run ospf on PE with CE in multi vrf - it says enable Virtual
link betwen PE- CE if "capabilty-VRF lite " knob not enabled on CE ? I'm not
clear with this. Will be thankful if some one puts more light on this.
   It talks abput something to do with DOWN BIT

when multi vrf CE recieves O IA route with Down bit set , this LSA is not
considered during SPF , WHY SO ?
when multi vrf CE recieves O IA route with Tag set , this LSA is not
considered during SPF , WHY SO ?
