The actual CCIE labs feature a lot of variety from one to the next.
This is, of course, to help protect the integrity of the program.
One of the areas you can see much variety in is the area of
redistribution. Here are just a few possibilities off of the top of my
head:
1 - You are told at the beginning of the lab that all prefixes in the
lab scenario must be fully reachable.
2 - You are presented with a defined redistribution section that
leaves it open how redistribution should be implemented.
3 - You are presented with a redistribution section and this section
includes detailed instructions on redistribution.
Notice that in all cases - you need to read the ENTIRE lab exam very
carefully, and do exactly what they instruct in order to receive your
points. Also, like Bruce tends to say over at NMC, "make no
assumptions". Just because our labs at INE tend to all feature and
focus on full reachability, do not make such an assumption in the
actual CCIE lab. In the lab, do what they (implicitly or explicitly)
require and collect your points and then move on in your career. :-)
Warmest Regards,
Anthony J. Sequeira, CCIE #15626
