I think you can do it either way.
like...
username chris password chris
username chris autocommand access-enable....
Line vty 0 4
login local
or...
line vty 0 4
password chris
autocommand access-enable
Then you define an ACL. You can put as much in the ACL as you want. In this
ACL you define parts of it as "dynamic". This part of the ACL is only
activated after the authenication. This is where you'd put in your permit
statemenet that is conditional on the authenication.
I can't remember exactly how long it stays active after the authentication,
but thats the basic idea.... I've never actually used it in real life, just
had to lab it up before.
