vlan information in VTP modes

Hi All,

  I have an understanding that when the switch is in vtp mode server/client
the vlan details are stored in NVRAM/VLAN.dat and when the switch is in vtp
mode transparent the vlan details are in running-config.Is my understanding
right ?.If so,then I am trying to understand about the switch in transparent
mode.If the vlan details are in running-config,is that mean after reset of
the switch the vlan details get erased.I am thinking and could test that was
not the case.So trying to understand,what is it mean vlan details available
in running-config.Thanks for th help.
