I actually think 'Internet Routing Architectures' by Sam Halabi is the
best place to start -- Routing TCP/IP volume II is pretty dry; it's
best used as a reference rather than a starting point. There again, if
you're a CCIE candidate, you should already have CCNP level knowledge
of BGP.
