Hello, I hope all is well.

Not sure I fully understand the problem here ... but let me try and
understand a few things.

Did the virtual-templates work? Frame up, ping across etc ... it looks
like you had this working just fine.
Did the virtual links come up? It sounds like these did not come up,
correct?

If I understand correctly, the problem you are trying to solve is getting
these other areas to be connected to area 0, the rest is just L2 concerns.
Is this correct?

Virtual templates bring other problems into all of this ... for example
authentication. Might suggest you try your lab again and solve the problem
with a very basic config before moving on. Sounds like you have a couple of
things going on at the same time.

Sorry if I did not fully understand what you are trying to do / state.
