Just to add my 1/2 a penny here ...

Just this part of the question might not makes as much sense, but reading
the whole section / lab might point you to a proprietary or standardized
method. Was there anything else in your lab that would indicate industry
standard versus proprietary?

True ... ISL puts an ISL header on ... 30 additional bytes. An ISL header
is not really a 'VLAN header' whatever "VLAN header" means ...

Would be nicer if the questions asked "all frames should be tagged with the
VLAN id, and you can not change the MTU above 1504 ... " something along
this lines might push you towards do1.q.

Just a thought and a 1/2 penny. ;-)
