Nope not that hard to someone who has been studying for a while.
However they might be impossible for someone who has simply memorized
commands or is just a ringer aka gunman.
Recall a Cisco did not not state the questions would be impossible. They
are doable questions and might be considered "easy" for a well-prepared
candidate. I define well-prepared as a candidate who has a solid base as a
CCNP and who has a solid foundation in troubleshooting the IOS based on at
least 500+ hours with the IOS. This type of candidate ought to be able to
easily handle 5 questions like those I have used above.
Really, I sat earlier this morning lingering from the night before for about
4-5 hours revieing Narbik's Workbooks and reading his explanations on
various technologies and it occurred to me that explanations like those
which are quite similar to those contained in CBTs from various vendors, the
Brian's COD and the BLS VOD for instance as well as the explanations given
by any lecture at most any class. CBT Huggets a much cheaper alternative
actually covers questions like these throughout their entiretly.
So there are many places to get the info in the verbal format. Audio
courses from the Brians and the IPExpert also cover the verbal explanations
very well.
Cisco Press does this in spades but many seem to use Cisco Press as almost a
last resort, I think they should be the first place one turns for a solution
after my google has failed me for whatever reason.
Just a thought.
All CCIE Candidates passed a Written Exam and I'd like to think none of the
questions asked would be harder than any found on the Written. I could see
a lot of open-ended questions coming from questions like those.
