Personally, I think that invalid routes creep into a lot of routing tables
and thus send inaccurate information about how information should flow.
It's a good reason why link-state protocols usually prevail over
distance-vector ones...
Whoever ends up becoming the Designated Router on our segment, the fact is
that we all have to interact with the DR/BDR regardless. Those who simply
refuse to accept that or communicate will find themselves in a routing black
hole...
Just my tax-free eight cents (two cents adjusted for inflation)...
