Guys,

A bit lost on this redistribution.

router ripredistribute connected metric 1 route-map CONNECTED>RIPredistribute ospf 1 metric 1route-map CONNECTED>RIP permit 10match interface Ethernet0/0 Loopback0/0 Serial1/2 Serial1/3 Serial1/0

Q1.) Why is there a need to redistribute connected interfaces of R3's s1/2, s1/3, s1/0 into RIP since they are advertised in OSPF domain? In the previous labs when doing redistribution RIP and OSPF, i dont remember redistributing those interfaces (already advertised in OSPF domain) as connected interfaces into RIP. Is there a reason for this?

When i do a show IP route for these interfaces s1/2, s1/3, s1/0 on R3, they are known as connected routes instead of OSPF routes, is that the reason why these connected interfaces are required to be redistributed manually into RIP domain. How come R3's E0/1 (already advertised in RIP domain) does not need to be redistributed as connected into OSPF domain?

Any kind advices are appreciated.

Ta
Nit
