Question about switch fabric and forwarding speed

Hi

I'm a little confused about the switch forwarding speed and switch fabric
(both in Gbps). Are they same?
For example the CAT 3560-48 10/100/1000 has 128Gbps switching fabric. So if
all the 48 ports start sending 1Gbps, it will eats around 48Gbps (or 2*48
for full duplex??), which may be 96 Gbps. (also with 1gbps trunks).
