Class review

The following is a review of my experience as a student in Narbik's class.
I won't get into deep detail here and I certainly don't want to say the same
old things that so many have said previously. However I find it hard to add
much to the already great things so many have said about Narbik so I will
briefly comment on only a couple of areas.

Everything you've heard about Narbik's teaching style is true. He has an
exceptional ability to break down complex topics into smaller and easy to
understand components. I've always lived by the rule that if you understand
it well then you can explain it simply and Narbik fits this rule perfectly.
He also has a rather robust sense of humor, which is in play often so even
though you are there long hours he has the ability to make time appear to go
by quickly. Warning: if you have no sense of humor then do NOT go to this
class. You will likely burst into flames or something like that. ;-)

One of the best things I brought home from the class is his Advanced CCIE
workbook, which is just what I was looking for. Don't get me wrong, I have
books from other vendors and consider them top quality but the book from
Narbik is a little different. Rather than providing numerous monolithic
practice labs, he breaks down his labs into specific individual technology
areas. This allows me to dig in deeper in my weak areas and not waste time
on my stronger ones. There aren't a lot of frills with Narbik's products
but they get the job done.

The last thing I'll talk about is Narbik as a person. It's hard to get to
know somebody in a few short days, even though we spent a LOT of time
together in that week (60+ hours). However I never once doubted that Narbik
was genuinely concerned for the success of every student in the class. He
always took the time to explain again or go back to a topic for somebody who
was confused. He offered to stay as late as necessary for as long as it
took to make you comfortable with what you were learning. Perhaps the same
can be said of the other successful instructors on this list but this is the
only class I've taken so I was certainly impressed with Narbik's willingness
to go the extra mile. Narbik was more or less just a GS acquaintance prior
to the class but now I consider him a friend and mentor.

Disclaimer: I am in NO way professionally affiliated with Narbik or his
company and was not asked to write this review in any way. I have always
commented on my personal experiences and provided an unbiased review of
products I've acquired through the years.

PS - Any of you who were in my class feel free to unicast me so we can keep
in touch. And remember.if you feel two hands on your shoulders.run away
fast! ;-)
