Yeah, your MGCP gw will be deregister from CCM. Its heavly depends on domain
name if you've set there any.

confirm this by using show ip domain blah..
In ccm u may change the dns e.g. gw1.abc.com

correct, only required for registering with CCM. The way ccm register gw is
hostname of the router and if there is ip domain-lookup is enabled hten
hostname+domainname.
It won't have any reaction on your phones!:)
