Hi All ,
expecting help to clear one doubt in ospf nssa , i did a small lab
setup to clear ospf nssa , difference between the
1, *area 2 nssa default-information-originate*
2, *area 2 nssa no-summary
AND
*3, *area 2 nssa no-summary default-information-originate
area 1 area0 area0
area 2(nssa)
R1---------------------R2------------------------R3-------------------------R4--------------------------R5
I did the following configuration on R4 and observe the result in R5**
*
1 , when i am using the *area x nssa default-information-originate * --->
default route injected under the Type -7 LSA in the ospf database and the
routing table has a new *O*N2*
route as *O*N2 0.0.0.0/0 [110/1] via 131.1.45.4, 00:10:27,
FastEthernet0/1
*
2, when i am using the *area x nssa no-summary *---> default route is
injected under the Summary Net Link LSA in the ospf database and the routing
table has a new *O*IA* route as *O*IA 0.0.0.0/0 [110/2] via 131.1.45.4,
00:00:29, FastEthernet0/1*
BUT
3 , when i am using *area x nssa no-summary default-information-originate *--->
default route is injected under both Type-7 and Summary Net Link LSA in the
ospf database but in the rouing table it is select only *O*IA
0.0.0.0/0[110/2] via
131.1.45.4, 00:00:12, FastEthernet0/1
So i want know difference in between the following commands ?
*2, *area 2 nssa no-summary
AND
*3, *area 2 nssa no-summary default-information-originate
*Regards,
Anbu.*
