Dear All,
I have a scenario in which I have a Cisco 7609 connecting to the WAN (i.e
MPLS/VPN) using a dot1q Gigabit sub interfaces.
Each of the Sub interfaces are in seperate VRF's representing different VPNs
connecting to other sites.
The requirement is that, in each of the sub interface I need to make sure
that , the traffic does not exceed 10MB and in this 10MB
I need to gurantee a minimum 2MB bandwidth for a particular stream of
traffic.
I tried to acheive this by using nested policy with Child policy using a
Bandwidth command and the Parent policy Shaping all traffic
to 10MB.
But I found that, the 7609 does not support shaping. Then I tried using
Policing in the Parent policy. It gave me an error that queing is not
supported
on this interface.
Can anyone guide me on this. Anyone had faced a similar scenario?
Regards
Shameen
