BTW, not all switches attempt to trunk by default. C3560 switches do not
form trunk by default, as interfaces are defaulted to "switchport mode
dynamic auto"
C3550 will from trunk with C3550, or C3560 by default.

If the default setting on the port is to negotiate via DTP, you don't
need to configure it (and it won't show in the config) ;) Just make
sure you know how to check that it did actually negotiate using DTP.
