Are NVI interfaces required for NAT on 3700/3800 series

Hi all.

My home test lab is composed of 2500s, 2600s and 3600s. Despite most
of my routers running 12.4 none of them have the "ip nat enable"
global command, which seems to indicate that NAT via NVI interfaces is
not supported on these platforms. I have a question for those with
access to the higher end routers. Do you always use NVI for nat on
these platforms or can you still use the "old" technique (ip nat
inside and ip nat outside on interfaces)?

Thanks,

Ash.
