Hi Ahsan,
I think this is normal behavior with the current built-in Dynamips
Frame-Relay switch. It does not seem to maintain the end-to-end frame lmi
keepalve. You would notice that your frame-relay PVC on one router stays up
even if the other end is shutdown. Your subinterface is then shown as up up.
You can have a more realistic Frame-Relay behavior using a router as a Frame
relay switch, instead of using the Dynamips virtual Frame-Relay switch. Just
a bit more memory and CPU is needed though, as you will need the resources
for an additional router. The built-in virtual FR switch resource
requirement is very low.
Cheers,
Huan

Hello Brian,
1) PVC status on the lcoal router is active
2) the remote end has its FR main interface shutdown.. this should have
stirred the local PVC status to go Inactive, but its not doing that.. it
stays active..
um using dynamips 0.8.0-RC1
IThanks,
Ahsan

What is the status of the DLCI on the local router? That's the key to
knowing what "should" happen.
Also as a side note if you shutdown a subinterface the DLCI should still
remain active which means the remote subinterface will not go down.
