Hello Everyone,
i was taking IE's CoD on backup interface (IP ROuting Part 3).. Brian M tells us that an FR p2p subinterface, unlike an FR main interface, should immediately detect when the fr circuit is no longer end-to-end reachable, and therefore give LINE PROTOCOL down in "sh ip int br" output (e.g. this can be simulated by shutting down remote-end interface)..
I am using Dynamips and its not happening like this i.e. line-prot for s1/0.1 stays UP even when remote-end interface (whether main or p2p) is shut down..
any idea whts going on here?
Rgds,
Ahsan
