1st Attempt - Failed R/S - Jan 31st

Well, i honestly thought i prepped enough to make the 1st attempt a success. That was a great exam in my opinion ... very difficult but fair. And certainly passible on the 1st attempt ... just not by me I guess. :)

Taking the weekend off to relax as I had major delays getting back because of a storm in Toronto.

Key issue:

Speed on Layer2/3
        - It took me way to long because i mistakenly went down a few rat holes. Errors I thought I made but didn't ate a lot of time on me.

In the end, i had no time to troubleshoot ... i think that was my downfall.

My focus now is to try the mock 8hr labs (as many as possible) over and over again (with new ones) until i can get them done in 4-5 hours I think.

Proctors were great. Any worries about breaks and food should not concern people. You can take fruit and any food as long as it's not in paper boxes and such to your desk. They have a cafe with coffee, juice, water and soft drinks ... so you can get a few for your desk. Lunch as good ... meat and potatoes and dessert. (recommend not having the sugar rush though).

Anyhow ... weekend off ... back to it next week ... i wish everyone else great luck. Like i say ... it's passible! Time management is the key if you've prepared well.

Jim
