Hey there.
I think that will do what you want. Your other options are:
on/on (no PAGP/LACP) forces the etherchannel on
active/passive (LACP commands all combinations apart from passive/passive
will form etherchannel)
auto/desirable (PAGP commands all combinations apart from auto/auto will
form etherchannel)
With etherchannle off, how can the etherchannel be negotiated??

Subject: disablng etherchannel on a switchport
Does anyone know what the best practice would be for the following scenario.
I have a server, two nic cards connected to two different switchports. This
server has the capability to do etherchannel. I need to make sure the server
admins do not try to negotiate an etherchannel with the switch. Is there a
way to prevent this besides channel-group # mode off? Any advice or links on
documenation is greatly appreciated
Regards,
