I would personally go for the first option, as this is the way discussed on
the documentation CD at:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios124/124cg/hcf_c/
ch15/cfhanstl.htm#wp1199668

There is no mention of the second method, and I havent tried it - although I
always try do things the way of the documentation CD!

Hi,

cisco doc says :

"The staging router learns the correct IP address to provide in its
BOOTP response to the router that is
being configured with AutoInstall by examining the frame-relay map ip
ip-address dlci command that
is configured on the interface that it is using to connect to the router
that is being configured with
AutoInstall."

So, are we free to type :

1- either "frame-relay map ip A.B.C.D DLCI"

2 - or "frame-relay interface-dlci DLCI protocol ip A.B.C.D"

will these commands give the same result ?

IE R&S lab 3 SG indicates to use the second option,
would the first option also be correct in this task ?

thanks,
Navid
