Having a live teacher, and that forced structure on you is beneficial, but
you can't really pass the lab anyway just by going to a bootcamp. You gotta
put in those massive learning hours. Joe, you work for yourself, so have the
benefit of jugging your work hours and still making enough $$ to get by. A
lot of these guys have full time slave jobs. In the event an employer coughs
up that cash, you are getting paid time on the clock and most importantly
focused time to learn without interruptions. That's the only real advantage
I see. Why do only a small percentage of Cisco pros attempt the lab in the
first place? I think it's the same problem that plagues our nation; people
are too damn lazy to take the initiative to better themselves.

Does going to a bootcamp give you any more edge than using CODs/workbooks?
