For that task it doesn't matter which you choose, but later on when you
get to the TE section, if you chose non-broadcast, TE will not function.
This is why they choose the p2mp. If you look at the IE forum, the issue
was discussed.

Hi Group,I was trying to do Internetwork Expert Service provider work
book Lab1 Task 2.3. It asks me to "Ensure that other devices in the
segment are not able to intercept any ospf traffic betweek R2 and R6"
. There is an ethernet segment between R2 and R6. My
answer to this question is Under R6 and R2 interface I configure ip
ospf network non-broadcast and under router ospf 1 I configure
neighbor command pointing to each other. But to my surprise
Internetwork Experts has given the solution as ip ospf network
point-to-multipint non-broadcast under the interface and the neighbor
command under the router ospf 1.Can someone tell me why is this
point-to-multipint required here.Thanks,Dany
Regards,
Dany
