It actually took even less time then my calculations come up with:

35GB = 35000 mB, 280000 mb

280000/100 = 2800 seconds which are around 46 minutes.

So I guess it even took 3 minutes less then it should.
if there is no more traffic that's pretty fine.
man that's even faster then copying from one HDD to another.

to achieve 35 gB in 5 minute rate , you would need almost 1g line.

Also you would need to consider things like TCP global synchronization, and
if RED/WRED are in place.
