One interesting statistic I would like to see is the
distribution of ages across tracks. My guess is that will just over 10
years in the program, the first CCIE's have migrated into the management
/ principle consultant ranks. Once 2010-2011 rolls around the "CCIE baby
boom" of
2000-2001 should be working their way into management.
Everybody sounds very afraid of a large number of new CCIE's
competing with them for engineering jobs in the market place, while what
I think we should really be worried about is having managers that know
just a little to much.
