RE: payment taken 28 days before lab

Thanks to everyone for that information.

I feel a little better that I wont lose my date should something go
wrong, I wish they would just take the payment now really so I could
sort any problems out in advance of the 28 day cut off and not have to
worry about it.

I've just had such a nightmare getting this seat that if lost it for
what ever reason I'd probably have to set my hair on fire! (speaking
from someone who hasn't got much hair left, this is a really serious
matter)

Thanks again.

Alex

Let's stop this trolling...

Guys, My amex was declined 24 days before my lab (like june 16)... Cisco
gave me more time to submit another payment method... I used my
mastercard
debit card on the second payment attempt - it went thru. My bank, "bank"
has
no purchase security, like amex, which I found out guarantees each
purchase
forever, so they wont allow $1,250 (the lab fee in june) for things to
be
charged they don't understand. Once I told them it was a "training
purchase"
from Cisco Systems, they told me the charge would be approved and to
have
them re-submit. By then I had already submitted the master debit card.

At no time was my seat in jeopardy...

I think on the flip side that if there was a problem with your credit
card,
bank, etc. then they would notify you and not just cancel your seat. I
seem
to recall a recent post where somebody said they overheard a proctor
talking
to a lab participant about making the payment for that same lab.

Hi Alex,

If you actually login to your CCIE account, you will see that payment
will
remain "pending".until the 28 day before exam. Then CISCO will actually
submit the payment.
