You should be ok with the PVDM2-8 or PVDM2-16 but try to go with the 16 if
you can at least for BR2 (CME/CUE router).
There isn't anything really special with the 2811 that couldn't be done
with other router platforms. We just went with it to standardize our
voice racks so that the same router hardware was used for all devices.
As far as the 6503 and VG248 go I'm writing the labs so you do not need to
have them in your lab. The labs have alternate tasks if they aren't used.
The HQ router has its own connection to the PSTN (VWIC-2MFT-T1) and a
HWIC-4ESW for LAN connectivity for when the 6503 isn't used. Personally I
would leave the 6503 and VG248 out of your home lab as you could learn
everything needed for them in just a few rental rack sessions.
Also for the FR cloud I used the second port on the VWIC-2MTFs for the
serial connection but you can use standard serial interface cards if you
like.
