RE: Contract Position in Los Angeles area

Honestly, the "few years of exper" part is going to prevent me from
offering an accurate answer, as I don't have the pulse of the market
quite down to that level of detail (and I don't have that number, LOL, so
it's not as though I can speak from experience wrt local CCIE billing
rates). What I can tell you is that I left W2 status and incorporated
about 2.5 yrs ago. I have been certified CCNP/CCDP for probably six
years and have a good number of years more than that "in the business"
under my belt. I can tell you that in my sleepy little city of 500,000
next to the mountains, I'm apparently doing as good or better than CCIEs
in LA, according to the range you earlier mentioned. Perhaps there's
just a over-abundance of CCIEs chasing after work in that particular
area? And I wasn't just being humorous. California is Colorado's #1
source of imports by a very large margin, and "tech" is the leading
industry that brings us those imports. Texas is #2...

What do CCIEs with few years of exper. make?

No wonder so many California big city types have been showing up
    here in CO!! With a CCNP/CCDP it's possible to earn a W2
hourly wage within the range you're talking about below
(definitely towards the lower end of that range, but within that
    range nonetheless)...

I live in LA and the hourly rate for a CCIE for a long term
      contract is
anywhere from 45 - 100 per hour. 100 per hour requires lots
      of experiance.
