Yeah, that popped into my head as I was skimming over some of the responses
and thought you may be doing that. You need to influence the OSPF election
first using metrics, or LSA type (intra vs. inter vs. external). After that
is completed, THEN the distance command will help in the routing table.

I was using this command, cause the OSPF process is injecting two routes
(load balancing), and I wanted to install just one at the routing table, so
reducing the distance of the one that I wanted tobe installed in the routing
table, seemed a good idea.
