I know they say LAN based technologies compete each other not
with WAN based technologies.
I have seen some talk about using Verizon data plan in
Amtrak running 110 mph downloading real fast http://techrepublic.com.com/5208-6230-0.html?forumID=102&threadID=217720&messageID=2207396
IP mobility also talks about the train.
So, it is just ppp dial to async line at the point of presence site.
But they run at 800kpbs. Would be nice to see the module that does that.
Their point of presence site is in Kansas I am in New Hampshire.
19 hops away from local cable modem IP network.
Now I am using verizon's data plan to make my home lab access.
Lose my TV set (to a good neighbor) and cable bill and cable modem bill.
