I noticed that in some platforms, the "show ip pim rp" will show you the
chosen RP.
Here the command was issued on a 3725:

But the really the command "show ip pim rp-hash x.x.x.x" is wonderful, try
it and you will make sure which RP was elected by the router.
Rack1R5#show ip pim rp-hash x.x.x.x
RP 130.100.2.2 (?), v2
Info source: x.x.x.x (?), via bootstrap, priority 5, holdtime 164
Uptime: 00:07:07, expires: 00:02:11
PIMv2 Hash Value (mask 0.0.0.0)
RP x.x.x.x, via bootstrap, priority 5, hash value 178992421
RP x.x.x.x, via bootstrap, priority 10, hash value 450121259
