Re: Cisco Certified Internetwork Architect ?

Architect smacks of those roles/titles clung onto by folks who looked down
at all those certified engineers CNE/MCSE etc climbing the ranks the last 10
years ;)

I can see plenty of room for working on integration and design though
particularly mixed environment integration/migration stuff.

However I do hope we don't end up with a new glass ceiling with the rest of
the certs relegated to 'support'. Many 'consultants' without certs were
terrorized by the support peeps getting a solid education thanks in no small
part to vendor education tracks allied to experience over the last 10 years.
Many of these went on to design roles and rightly so.

We seem to have plenty of certs as it is and those with the experience are
finding it harder to find the time to keep up with more and more tracks
because of their increasingly timeconsuming responsibilities in the field.

We will have to see how it goes!
