I can speak from experience here that there are some sticky situations that
can arise. If you are away from your partner employer for a year then there
is no problem but "officially", Cisco prefers not to hire talent away from
partners. That said, if they really want you aboard and the partner is
small and doesn't bring a lot of sales to the table, who knows what they'll
do. Best bet is to quit the partner for awhile.
