Mihai,

How are the rtr commands affecting the proc on R5 and R6? Having so
much traffic generated on the same router might be delaying the ICMP
packets from getting to to the interface. You might consider
connecting a router behind R5 to source the rtr traffic and connecting
another router behind R6 to terminate the rtr traffic.
