You need 'no keepalive' on serial interfaces on both sides, otherwise fr dte is expecting lmi responses.

Subject: Frame relay back to back

Group ,
When I am configuring frame relay back to back over the serial connection,
the link stays up for 30 odd seconds and it goes down. R4 & R5 are
connected via serial link and I would like to configure frame relay back to
back over that . Here is the configuration....

R4

interface Serial2/1
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
!
interface Serial2/1.1 point-to-point
 ip address 145.1.45.4 255.255.255.0
 frame-relay interface-dlci 111

R5
interface Serial2/1
 no ip address
 encapsulation frame-relay
 clock rate 64000
 no dce-terminal-timing-enable
!
interface Serial2/1.1 point-to-point
 ip address 145.1.45.5 255.255.255.0
 frame-relay interface-dlci 111

Am I missing some thing here..

Thanks in advance.
prem
