One point on using Null0 to discard packets: a packet that is sent to
the Null0 interface causes the router to send an ICMP unreachable
message to the source. This may be undesirable in many situations (such
as black-holing a DoS attack). If the ICMP unreachable is not desired,
you can route the packet to a loopback interface instead.

A route to null0 is very useful for dropping unwanted packets without
