to add on that, DR & BDR in broadcast type of networks are selected
automatically based on the highest loopback address or router-id, etc. You
may want to choose between one router over another to be a DR/BDR when you
want the most powerful one to play that game of calculating the SPF and
generating the LSAs etc. In the lab, Cisco assumes that all their routers
are POWERFUL so unless specified then leave the DR/BDR alone! ;-)

NBMA hub/spoke, is different story altogether!
