Dear GS,
I am doing the Ipexpert WB, and there is one thing what I have hard time
understanding:
Quote:
"Do not actively run routing protocols on any interface if it is not
necessary"
Does that mean:
If it is not necessary to run routing protocol on an interface - does it
have to be redistributed ?
Or Can I use network statement but place the interface in passive state -
can it be reffered to as not activly running routing protocol on the
interface ?
If I am told to place a loopback in a certain area in OSPF, do I need to
make the loopback passive ?
Mostly to satisfy the full IP connectivity requirement I feel more
comfortable with [network statement & passive interface] combination is that
ok for the real lab ? Or redistribution is the better way to go. I know that
if the labs doesn't restrict you in any way it's a free game, but what is
the preferred way in your opinion ?
Thanks in advance,
Eli.
