ACS question

Hi guys,

I'm just starting to learn about this product and I've been reading the User
Guide.

I just read about two features, Database Replication and Database
Synchronization, which sound very similar and I want to confirm my
understanding of why both of these features are part of this product.

Without getting into the nitty, gritty details the MAJOR difference between
these 2 features is WHO the involved parties are:

With Database Replication, both parties involved are ACS'es.

With Database Synchronization, one party is an ACS but the other party is a
ODBC compliant database.

However, both features provide similar functionality ie, update the database
on an ACS.

Can someone confirm if I'm on the right track or if I've totally missed the
boat on this.

Thanks very kindly,

Tim
