One more thing...
use the "port fast bpdufilter" globally (and not per interface) if you want your uplinkfast enabled port to start sending BPDUs in case it starts receiving them.
If you enable bpdufilter on the interface the switch will continue suppressing its BPDUs even if the portfast enabled interface is now receiving BPDUs from a neighboring switch.

The key I think is, if all your access ports are in portfast state, you can
apply BPDU filter and guard globally. But any access interface ,for
whatever reason, that does not have portfast enabled will need BPDU filter
and guard configured per interface.
