Hi Brian,
Please can you let me know how to calculate that EIGRP Multicast Mac address
using the routers and the switch?
I've tried this,
R6(config-if)#ip igmp join-group 224.0.0.10
Illegal multicast group address
R6(config-if)#ip igmp join-group 224.0.1.10
R6(config-if)#do ping 224.0.1.10
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 1, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 224.0.1.10, timeout is 2 seconds:
Reply to request 0 from 192.168.0.6, 4 ms
R6(config-if)#
BB1-TS#7
[Resuming connection 7 to sw1 ... ]
Sw1#show mac-address-table multicast
Vlan Mac Address Type Ports
---- ----------- ---- -----
63 0100.5e00.010a IGMP Fa0/6
Sw1#0100.5e00.000a <<< EIGRP Multicast Mac 224.0.0.10
Many thanks
Victor.-

Brian,
Done ! Tks a lot. But, here I have 2 switches (3560 and 3550). The switch
that I used to this lab was the 3560 (where i didn't find the "IGMP
Snooping" message). I tested in the 3550 and saw the message.
Tks again.
Fabio.

See below:
Rack1SW1(config)#
Rack1SW1(config)#mac-address-table static 0100.5e00.000a vlan 1363
interface FastEthernet0/1
IGMP Snooping or MVR enabled on vlan 1363. Can't add static multicast
addresses.
Rack1SW1(config)#no ip igmp snooping vlan 1363
Rack1SW1(config)#mac-address-table static 0100.5e00.000a vlan 1363
interface FastEthernet0/1

Hi All,
Does anyone knows why in the Solution Guide they used the "no ip igmp
snooping 1363" command ?
Tks,
Fabio.
