Subject: Q. IEWB lab 17 5.1....Why bandwidth has been set on the serial interfaces for BGP peering?
I'm sorry for this post not useful to many, but does anybody know why the solution of IEWB lab 17 5.1 shows a "bandwidth" statement under the serial interfaces?
Essentially the task asks to configure BGP peering across different Serial interfaces (PPP and frame relay) and beside the "neighbor" statements under router cfg mode, the solution also shows a "bandwidth 1544" command under certain interfaces.
Topology:
PPP
R1 ------
BW 1544/ |
/ | BW 1544
R5 --------FR R3
\ | BW 1544
BW 1544\ |
R2 -------
PPP
There is no DMZ configuration that needs to be done, so I'm really missing the point of the commands. BTW 1544 is even the default for these interfaces...
