Hi ,one of my colleagues had asked me this question
B1---R2-----R3----R4----B2
R2-confed as 64112 -AS 31
R3-confed as 64111 -AS 31
r4-confed as 64111 -AS 31
B1- AS 30
B2- AS 30
B1 and B2 were pumping similiar routes
R2 for some reason was choosing the routes from B2
although i could see that Weight, local pref nor any visible attributes were
manipulated in "sh ip bgp"
(i tried to do a recreate of the same setup but R2 was choosing the route
from B1)
Questions :
1. )please help me understand why R2 is selecting the route from B2
2.)how do i go about in making R2 select routes from B1 "only by
configuring R2 and not by manipulating weight and local
preference "
Please post your ideas
Thanks ,
Kay D
