Hi samy,
variance formula variance = 1 + ( hi- bw / lo-bw) rounded-up
let say variance = 2, mean every 2 packet through high b/w interface, 1
packet through low b/w interface, another words say 1:2.
If you want to unequal load balance, let say 1:4, and your config b/w 100
mbps hi and 10 mbps lo
In this case you need to retuning your config b/w interface to meet the
rquirement. It is up to you, lo b/w or hi b/w
example : retune low b/w
variace 1:4
variance = 1 + ( hi- bw / lo-bw)
4 = 1 + ( 100 /lo-bw)
4 = (lo-bw + 100) /lo-bw
4 lo-bw = lo-b-w +100
4 lo-bw - lo-bw = 100
3 lo-bw = 100
lo bw = 100/3
lo-bw = 33.3334
so u need to re config your bandwith to 33333 kbps for lo bandwidth
interface.
plase correct me if i wrong

Re: EIGRP variance
Not sure if you had a chance to look into the following doco before, this
one explains the basic concept
