Just to shed light on the subject. You have to include that interface
in your IGP domain so when you learn BGP routes(through IBGP), your AS
has a route to the nexthop which is the backbone. I had just set the
next hop to the local AS router(which had direct connectivity to the
backbone) so local routers didn't need a route to the BackBone link.
Hope this makes sense and I'm not just typing to myself.

I completed the task and got everything to work. But checking the IE
solutions they redistribute fa0/24 on switch 1 into OSPF. Why is that?
