I'm looking into an alternative solution. I have 2 2924XL switches, one
is running IOS version 12.0 and the other older one is running 11.2. The
one running 11.2 is actually not capable of loading any more recent
versions of IOS because it only has 4 MB RAM (you need 8 MB RAM to
accommodate 12.0).
However, both switches have a 100BASEFX card built in, I'm looking for
some ST connector fiber cable; on the older switch running 11.2 it will
let me turn this interface into a trunk.
