I agree with the second comment that Jian makes here....I have found
(and racked my brains over this one many, many hours). When you get the
trunking set up and then, configure the VTP specifics. There are
inconsistencies with the synchronization of the vtp (and there are no
debug commands for vtp). So, the only solution is to go to the client
switch.....and toggle it between transparent and back to client. I hope
others here have some other solutions, but I think there are some code
issues with vtp.

I would first make sure there is a trunk link between the two switches

then change client mode to transparent then to client again.
