Same here with the NMC labs, which most of them use vlan tagging on the
routers, and the 2500s are not capable of this.

I have the same problem with you, I also have 7 x 25xx routers and
nothing
more.
You can try to look at the DOiT sample lab from NMC, they are using 7
routers for their lab (including bb router) maybe it would do you fine.
But if you do not have the 2 x 3550s, then you need to additional 2
routers to replace them and do router-on-a-stick.
